Steven Helmle

Vice President Business Development

With over 28 years of experience in the customer care and direct-to-consumer industries, Steven joined the team at AMS in 2004. His journey began long before that, shaping his expertise and commitment to excellence.

Before joining AMS, Steven held a pivotal role as Regional Vice President and Senior Director of Business Development at a multi-location national fulfillment company. During his eight-year tenure, he spearheaded initiatives in DRTV, retail, promotional, and entertainment fulfillment.

At AMS, Steven, as VP of Business Development, wears multiple hats. As a seasoned negotiator, he handles contract discussions and navigates non-HR legal matters. His collaborative spirit shines through as he assists in integrating new clients into the AMS family, working closely with Client Services and Account Management teams. Steven also plays an active role in the Sales Team and supports media and marketing endeavors. Steven is committed to B Corp standards, ensuring that AMS operates with a purpose beyond profit with a dedication to sustainability, social impact, and ethical practices.

Steven’s career journey has been rich and diverse working in client service and management roles at Continental Airlines, Eastern Airlines, Reno Air, Norwest Bank, and Teletech Holdings. These experiences taught him the value of empathy, adaptability, and resilience—the cornerstones of exceptional customer care.

Beyond the office, Steven finds solace in family, pets, hobbies and traveling. He cherishes moments spent unwinding, hanging out with his puppy, traveling, working in his gardens, and perfecting his culinary skills.
