Soludos and AMS Donate Shoes to the Homeless

AMS Fulfillment is pleased and proud to post an article and video (below) from United Way of Lancaster County, PA about a recent donation to at-risk and homeless individuals made by Soludos, an East Coast manufacturer of high-quality shoes, and facilitated by AMS Fulfillment. Soludos is a client of AMS Fulfillment East, with AMS warehousing their products and fulfilling the orders.

Soludos expressed a desire to give back to the community and they asked AMS to arrange the donation of 500 pairs of women’s shoes to persons in need. AMS was more than happy to identify the inventory and make the donation. Dori Bernstein, HR Manager for AMS East sought out the appropriate recipient for the shoes and the President of AMS West, Betty-Lou Wiseman, worked with Soludos to facilitate their request.

When the AMS Volunteer Committee became aware of the upcoming donation, they organized a drive among employees to collect donations of socks to go with the shoes. Within a short amount of time more than 50 pairs of socks were collected and donated.

We are so pleased to have played a part in making the lives of homeless and at-risk women a little bit better with this donation.

AMS East donates Soludos shoes to Lancaster County Food Hub

The Lancaster County Food Hub has received a donation of more than 500 pairs of women’s shoes from AMS East, a fulfillment center based in New Holland.

The shoes are from AMS East’s client Soludos, a New York City-based footwear company. Staff at AMS East spent months identifying inventory suitable for donation. The Food Hub will be able to distribute the shoes to individuals who need them through its clothing bank program.

United Way of Lancaster County, along with its partner, the Lancaster County Homelessness Coalition, was able to connect AMS East with the Food Hub and helped with the donation logistics.
