Hi! I’m Ignacio.
Role
I am the Receiving Supervisor at Headquarters, and I have been with AMS since July 2021. My department and I handle all inbound, both systematical and physical movement. We aim to get things done quickly, efficiently, and accurately. Overall, I aspire to help as many people as I can, and to grow with them personally and professionally, and in a positive environment. I have grown professionally by being better than I was yesterday, growing with a team, and having fun along the way.
Challenges
Low staff and or short staff were my main issues. We overcame it by communicating with leadership at AMS which got us the help we needed. This helped us teach new employees how to receive and cross train in multiple job duties. Challenges increased my knowledge and helped me overcome obstacles. I am proud of getting the right team trained and developed to be a lean mean receiving team. (J.K. they are all nice)
The best advice I could give someone at AMS would be to be yourself. Accept feedback as an opportunity to grow, even if you feel it is unnecessary. Things change quickly, and that one piece of advice given may help you grow somewhere else. So, take all the knowledge you can get now and use it to grow with the company, for yourself and for your future.
Motivation
Show up, get it done, and embrace the help of my team to make it all happen. Even in chaos, we help each other out. The support from my team and leadership is the motivation to continue to be great and to have great outcomes.
Three people who have been great inspirations to me in the company are Nacho, our fearless leader, for having the confidence in me to do the job right, Becky Amado for being there to direct me to be better, and Steve Dorst for giving me the opportunity by hiring me and to be myself.

When I was younger, I played the trumpet. I was supposed to join a Mariachi group, but it never happened. Yes, I used to sing, but my voice went down the drain as years passed.
