Hi! My name is Sharon.
I have been with the company for 24 years. I coordinate a wide variety of data from items like hours and orders as well as costs and margins for materials and freight to create billing to clients; all of which must be interpreted and processed per fee schedules and with customers’ unique program requirements. Additionally, I am involved with AP and AR requirements for some of these costs, and in escalations for purchasing and setting up vendors. I also coordinate with client services and ops for billing approvals and bicoastal invoice management with various teams.
Challenges
Some of the challenges I have faced in my career were having to figure out complicated billing structures or jump in on an unfamiliar area of processing, and how I overcame those challenges was with Teamwork.
Accomplishment
The accomplishment I am most proud of is my longevity with the company and the ability to shift and move within the company when needed. I am seen as an asset and valued for my work. I have grown to have overall knowledge and confidence in what I do.
Inspiration
My biggest inspirations within the company are Kim P. (VP Client Services) who has been mentor, role model and friend, as well as Lee B. (Accounting Manager) who has been a guide and teacher in the world of accounting.
Motivation
COFFEE!! <just kidding> I remind myself that no matter how much there may be to do, this is what I am good at, and I’ve got this!….Then get it done!
Secret Talent
I read fast…at least if the book is good!
While it’s not new to some of my fellow “echo” gang… I used to Drag Race. I attended NHRA divisional and national events (crew…not spectator!), worked on the family race car and have even driven at local drag strips with my parents back in the day. I still go to watch and visit with racer friends occasionally but haven’t participated in many years. It’s a heck of rush and if you have a fast car…take it to the track!!!! I also used to sing soprano (not anymore) and medaled in districts in track and field for discus throwing in high school.
Home Life
When not working I like to read, listen to music, dance, swim, and find activities to do with my son.
