Thank You to Our Custodial Associates

When we looked into October commemorative days, the first “day” to show up was a very pleasant surprise!! October 2^nd is designated as a day to recognize and thank our custodial associates! At AMS Fulfillment we appreciate the exceptional human beings who help us recycle right (our ‘green’ champions), who humbly sweep the warehouse floors, who help us avoid tripping hazards, promptly clean any spills and make the restrooms and lunchrooms sanitized and safe. It is an absolute privilege and pleasure to thank them now.

To all of our custodial associates, in the AMS warehouses and offices, we say Thank You for making our spaces safe and clean and Thank You for keeping them that way! Today, and every day of the year we see you, we appreciate you and we respect you.

We are reminded by an article in National Today [LINK] that we can show our respect for our custodial associates by ‘keeping it clean’ ourselves. From the article we read the following: “We can all do our part to help custodians do their jobs. Keep our work stations neat. After a break, pick up after ourselves in the lunch/break room. We can even do some light dusting around our desks, office or cubicle. There is no reason to leave a mess for anyone else when we can simply do our part to help. If you know a custodial worker, THANK THEM today!”

Thursday, October 2^nd is the established “National Custodial Workers Recognition Day.” Google tells us that the commemorative day… “encourages appreciation to the employees who keep our schools and workplaces across the nation running smoothly. Custodial workers operate behind the scenes. Oftentimes, they are under-appreciated for the hard work they do day after day, too. While delivering outstanding services and running a well-maintained building, these superheroes contribute to critical first impressions and the success of any business. They’re the people we call on to give our brick and mortar businesses a polished look to efficiently keep everything in top condition.”

That’s the truth. Those who give us an orderly and clean environment also give us peace of mind. It works that way. Thank you to our AMS Custodial Associates – your work matters.
